1 For Good activity: SPF KITS

1 For Good Volunteer “Happy Hours” bring IOPS Rensselaer colleagues  together to make a difference. Each month we meet up for a fun,  hour-long hands-on volunteer activity that helps a community  organization and gives you a chance to do well by doing good with  like-minded Regeneron employees.

Grab a coworker or your entire team and join us as we mark Skin  Cancer Awareness Month by assembling Skin Cancer Awareness and  Prevention Kits. The kits will include information on ways to reduce  risk for skin cancers and items to help protect our skin from the  effects of UV radiation.

The Skin Cancer Foundation notes that  with more than 5 million cases diagnosed in the United States each year,  skin cancer is America’s most common cancer. Fortunately, skin cancer  is also one of the most preventable cancers. By sharing facts about the  dangers of unprotected sun exposure and encouraging people to check  their skin for warning signs, we can and will save lives.

>>>Did  you know that a key component of Regeneron Pharmaceuticals' 2030  Responsibility Goals includes advancing access to medicine for patients  by helping to improve cancer care in under-served communities, with  initial focus on skin cancers? To support this goal, we will donate Skin  Cancer Awareness and Prevention Kits to our community partner  organizations working with under-served populations.<<<

• If  you are participating as a drop in OR if you have signed up in advance  to participate, please be sure to fill out your information on the  activity check-in sheet.
• To participate in this Premium Shift 1  For Good volunteer activity, please locate the 1 For Good sign and  activity box in the Cafe. Instructions for completing the  activity are located in the activity box, and can also be found by  scanning the QR code on the box. Completed kits  may be left in the  activity box. Please be sure to enter the required participation  information on the activity check in sheet located in the activity box.

About 1 For Good:  1 For Good Volunteer “Happy Hours” are designed to give you a  “feel-good” buzz without the headache and are part of our Regeneron For  Good (RFG) employee volunteer program. RFG provides IOPS employees with  opportunities to learn, explore and experience the many ways we can give  back to our community while building relationships with colleagues who  share a desire to make a positive change in our world.
